Awww I am so very happy as so far I have found 3 Maybugs this year :-D When I was a kid there used to be plenty of them every May but now they are getting rare, which is a real shame.
I have also found 6 cockchafer grubs while doing some gardening!
Please be assured, that I only took the photos and that non of the animals got harmed! The Maybug sits in a bush, well he might have flown away now lol. And the Grubs are back safe in the soil :-D
